Animal Law Society

Togo at John Hancock

The Animal Law Society was founded in September 2003 to educate the JMLS community and increase public awareness of how the law pertains to animals in establishing and protecting animals' rights and welfare.

On March 26, 2004, the Animal Law Society became a student chapter of the Animal Legal Defense Fund, a national organization that aims to protect the lives and advance the interests of animals through the legal system.

The Animal Law Society continues to strive to protect the lives and advance the interests of animals through the legal system. We believe in the humane treatment of all animals. Animals cannot protect themselves in our legal system so it is our duty as future lawyers to help protect them.
