SCHOLARSHIPS: WEST SUBURBAN BAR

The West Suburban Bar Association is continuing its Scholarship Program and has made two $1500.00 scholarships available to be awarded to qualified candidates being solicited from seven local law schools in the Chicago Metro area.  The awards will be presented at our Law Day ceremony held in May. The Office of Admission will screen all applications that are sent to the West Suburban Bar Association.

Selection Criteria

  1. Must be a law student who will enter their second or third year of law school
  2. The student should exhibit certain involvement in extra curricular or community activities.
  3. The committee will consider Financial need and the applicant can be expected to document his/her financial need if requested.
  4. Scholastic achievement in law school will be considered by the Scholarship Committee but is not the sole determinative factor.

Requirements

1.      Submit a completed Scholarship Application

2.      Applicants must submit class rank and grade point average information for the committees review.

3.      Applicants must submit a copy of their transcript attached to the application.

4.      All applicants must submit an essay that advises the committee why he/she should be awarded the scholarship as well as any special factors that they feel the committee should consider.
