Student Bar Association
Welcome to the Student Bar Association
The student governing body at John Marshall is the Student Bar Association. The Executive Board is elected annually and consists of the
President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, ABA Representative, CBA Representative, ISBA Representative, and Evening Student Liaison.
The Legislative body at John Marshall consists of delegates elected from class sections. Each student section elects two representatives
to serve on the SBA per year. The SBA focuses on enhancing both communication and interaction among the students, faculty, deans and staff
in the John Marshall community. This includes student/faculty/administration socials and open meetings.
The SBA hosts many events throughout the year. Each semester the Student Bar Association sponsors a used Book Sale, Student Organization Day along with many other events. Additionally, every spring semester, 1L section representatives plan a fundraiser which benefits a charitable organization or cause of their choice. Also in the Spring, the SBA sponsors the Public Interest Auction which raises money to provide scholarships to students who will work in Public Interest positions during their summer break.

Diversity Affairs Committee
The John Marshall Law School has a rich tradition of dedication to encouraging diversity within our student body, faculty, and staff. In an effort to honor this commitment, the Diversity Affairs Committee was created during the 2006-2007 academic year. The Diversity Affairs Committee is a permanent committee of the Student Bar Association created by Constitutional Amendment. This Committee works to ensure that students from historically underrepresented groups are ensured a successful and rewarding experience at The John Marshall Law School.
