The Middle Eastern Law Students Association

WINNER OF THE "2010 MERIT AWARD" BY THE ARAB-AMERICAN BAR ASSOCIATION OF ILLINOIS

MELSAThe Middle Eastern Law Students Association (MELSA) seeks to promote a greater understanding of Middle Eastern  culture, politics and legal institutions.

Designed to serve as a discussion forum for students of Middle Eastern descent as well as those interested in the region, this diverse student organization hosts a variety of networking and educational events, including colloquia, political discussions, and films highlighting the social and political dynamics of the Middle East. MELSA also hosts a number of social outings and works closely with faculty, staff, local attorneys and other student organizations in order to foster professional development and promote cultural awareness within the legal community.

The organization warmly welcomes students of all backgrounds with an interest in the Middle East.
