The Middle Eastern Law Students Association (MELSA) seeks to promote a greater understanding of Middle Eastern culture, politics and legal institutions. Designed to serve as a discussion forum for students of Middle Eastern descent as well as those interested in the region, this diverse student organization hosts a variety of networking and educational events, including colloquia, political discussions, and films highlighting the social and political dynamics of the Middle East. MELSA also hosts a number of social outings and works closely with faculty, staff, local attorneys and other student organizations in order to foster professional development and promote cultural awareness within the legal community.
