Canadian - U.S. Trade Relations Topic of March 29 Discussion

The John Marshall Law School Canadian Law Society and the Center for International Business and Trade Law co-hosted “The Canadian – United States Trade Relationship under NAFTA: Research and Policy Perspectives,” from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m., Wednesday, March 29, in room 1200A.
This panel discussed both substantive and procedural issues of NAFTA, including soft-wood lumber, Mad Cow disease and other pressing issues. Discussion also focused on how to research these policy and legal issues through library and computer database sources.
Featured speakers were Anne Abramson, reference librarian in the Louis L. Biro Library at John Marshall; Mike Bunting, an account manager with Westlaw; Maurice Egan, deputy counsel general and senior trade commissioner with the Canadian Consulate; and Adjunct Professor Lawrence M. Friedman, of Barnes Richardson & Colburn.
