Trial Advocacy Council Member Information

Students in the top third of their class after their first year are invited to participate. With more than 50 council members, the program is currently the largest honors program operating at the law school.

As council members, students administer programs ranging from collegiate-level mediation competitions to hosting interscholastic trial advocacy and alternative dispute resolution competitions.

After one semester of council service, a council member becomes eligible to apply for a position on the Trial Advocacy and Alternative Dispute Resolution Barristers Board if a position becomes available.

Council members - Please check the bulletin board during your office hours to determine if there is any work that needs to be done. Make sure that you make a note of your hours in the white binder by the bulletin board, and have either a board member or Jai sign off on them, so that you can get credit for all hours worked.

The Trial Advocacy and Dispute Resolution Honors Council would like to thank all of you who contributed to and/or participated in our fundraiser for JMLS alum Dominic Salvati. We are pleased to announce that we were able to donate over $1,400.00 to the Salvati family. Thank you all for your amazing generosity! And a special thank you to Morghan Gleason and Nick Courson for organizing this event!

Finally, please remember to RSVP for our annual gala, which is scheduled for next Thursday, the 24th.

That's all for now!
