Moot Court Competitions

Spring 2008 Moot Court Competition Teams Updates:

CONGRATULATIONS to the Products Liability Team, coached by Prof. Mary Nagel, consisting of Emma Power, John Knowles, and Matthew Goodstein.  The team placed Second and Emma was named Best Oralist!

CONGRATULATIONS to the Niagara International Moot Court Competition 2008 Team of Karolina Guzek, Aman Ansari, Tahani Afaneh, and Mark Segrist, coached by Mark Wojcik and Sonia Green.  They were Semifinalists and won Best Team Memorial-Respondent! Tahani tied for Fifth Best Advocate!

 

CONGRATULATIONS to the two Hispanic Bar Moot Court Teams, coached by Prof. Damian Ortiz; the Team of Anselmo Duran and Abraham Duran finished First and won Best Respondent's Brief.  Abraham was named Fifth Best Oralist.  The Team of Justin Garcia and Marcos Esparza made it to the Quarterfinals and Justin was named Second Best Oralist!

The Moot Court Program proudly announces: 

The team comprised of Wendy Colontuono Bockelmann, Jennifer Eun, and Nicole Oyer won Second Place at the Cardozo/BMI Entertainment Law Moot Court Competition in New York City.

The Giles Sutherland Rich Moot Court Team, coached by Professor David Schwartz, comprised of Jennifer Gregory and Shaum Jhansale were Quarterfinalists.

The Wagner Labor Law Moot Court Team comprised of Adele Nicholas, David Rainey, and Gregory Royal, coached by Professor Joanne Hodge, were Octo-finalists and wrote the Third Best Petitioner’s Brief at New York Law School.

The Gabrielli Family Law Moot Court Team comprised of Angela Ewald, Tania Luma, and Erin Shanahan, coached by Professor Steven Schwinn, were Octo-finalists at Albany Law School.

The Federal Bar Association Thurgood Marshall Moot Court Competition Team comprised of Tania McCants and Paul Prezioso was a Quarterfinalist.
