National Sexual Orientation Moot Court Competition

The Williams Institute Moot Court Competition was started in February of 2005 and is the only national competition dedicated exclusively to the areas of sexual orientation and gender identity law.  Finalists then return to the University of California Davis during the William's institute 8th annual "Update" to present their argument as part of the conference.  The competition's website is http://www.law.ucla.edu/williamsinstitute/programs/FifthAnnualWilliamsInstituteMootCourtCompetition.html.

In 2008, Mary Grieb, Paul Johnson, Shaun Sperling were Semifinalists. In 2007 Joseph Alexander, Nicole Bashor, and Melissa Webber advanced to Quarterfinals, and won Second Best Brief.  Joseph Alexander won Fifth Best Oralist.
