How to Know if You Need to Call Us:
In the competitive school environment, it’s sometimes hard for students to admit they need support in managing stress and life responsibilities. Delaying to seek solutions to these issues can sometimes lead to lower performance and lower grades in the long run. Students who come to The Counseling Center often say things such as:
- “I have a lot of things on my mind, and I am looking for someone to talk to who could offer guidance.”
- “I’m having trouble keeping up with my work and I don’t see others having this trouble.”
- “I am struggling to balance work and having a life.”
- “I am under a lot of stress and want help, but I am unsure where to go.”
- “I’m having trouble with my professor, and I could use some help figuring out how to handle it.”
- “I’d like to come for counseling, but I can’t pay a lot.”
