LIBRARY: Writing Resources

AALL Universal Citation Guide 1st Edition: AALL’s (American Association of Law Librarians) model citation rules.  The Guide may be helpful in determining citation form for electronic resources not otherwise covered in Bluebook or ALWD manual.

Elements of Style: William J. Strunk [Bartleby.com, 1999] Provides guidance on plain English style including rules of usage and principles of composition.

Guide to Grammar and Style: [hosted by Capital Community College] The guide provides a number of different reference sources from words and sentences to paragraphs and essays.

Introduction to Basic Legal Citation: Online guide to basic legal citation form based on 18th ed. of the Bluebook and the 2nd ed. of the ALWD manual [from LII Cornell Law School].

ONLINE! Citation Styles: Formats Includes illustrations of appropriate documentation style for electronic resources based on a number of different style manuals including MLA and U. of Chicago.
