ITS has secured agreements with top vendors including Apple, CDW-G and Dell for reduced cost software and hardware purchased for educational purposes. The John Marshall Law School Help Desk can also assist you in making any purchasing decisions.
Computer Purchasing Decision
ITS understands that there are many options faced when purchasing a new computer for law school; primarily deciding whether to get a Mac or PC. At John Marshall both are suitable options. Exam taking software is made available for students, free of charge, for both Macs and PCs. ITS also provides students the option to purchase Microsoft Office for both Macs and PCs. Printing, Internet databases, distance learning applications and everything you need to be successful in law school are available on each platform.
Deciding to purchase a Mac or PC is therefore contingent upon cost and personal preference as both technologies are compatible and supported at John Marshall.
