The Center for Information Technology & Privacy Law

Registration & Contact Information

The John Marshall Law School's Center for Information Technology and Privacy Law cordially invites your school to participate in the 32nd Annual International Moot Court Competition in Information Technology and Privacy Law. Up to 40 teams will be selected to participate, with preference given to teams that register early. The winning briefs will be published in The John Marshall Journal of Computer & Information Law, the premier academic publication in its field.

Each school may enter one team consisting of two or three members. The team will submit a written brief in September. While only two team members are permitted to participate in a single round of oral arguments, all three members may argue during the competition. Team members must not have completed a degree in law as of the competition date.

Registration Opens: Monday, April 15, 2013
Registration Deadline: Friday, June 14, 2013

Notification will be emailed on or around June 28, 2013, and briefs will be due Monday, September 23, 2013. International teams are required to confirm their ability to attend the competition by October 18, 2013. Failure to do so will result in exclusion from the competition. Upon arrival, international teams are also required to provide the Competition Organizing Committee with a local Chicago contact number for facilitating communication between the teams and the Moot Court Committee.

If you have any questions, please contact Panagiota Kelali at 312.987.1419 or via email at itmootcourt@jmls.edu.
