Welcome to the Information Technology Services online orientation. Your participation in this short course will help you use and understand the technology services offered at the John Marshall Law School (JMLS). By reading the information on these pages, you can familiarize yourself with the technology available to the faculty and staff at JMLS.

Technology Resources at The John Marshall Law School
Below is a list of departments that can best serve your technical needs.
Information Technology Services (ITS) The ITS department provides support for a wide variety of technology related issues. The first point of contact for the ITS department is the Help Desk, located on the 5th floor next to the State Street elevators, around the corner from the student lounge. The John Marshall Law School offers several places where you can get support for a variety of different technology-related needs.
The Help Desk can be contacted via email helpdesk@jmls.edu or phone (312) 427-2737 x550. ITS offers the following services:
- Support for JMLS issued computers, printers, and network printing
- Aid in use of JMLS installed applications
- Assistance with network logins and access to network resources (including wireless access)
- Help with telephone service, fax resources, and conference calls
- Provide for and maintain school email accounts
- Help with acquiring computer related hardware and software (with this approval)
The ITS Help Desk provide support 7 days a week, follow this link for the latest hours.
Media Services The Media Services department provides assistance with the use technology in the classroom setting. They also help with editing pre-recorded materials for teaching purposes.
Media Services can be found on the 12th floor of the John Marshall Law School and can be reached at (312) 427-2737 ext. 498. They provide the following services:
- Help with the setup and use of Tegrity classroom capture software - Tegrity digitally records classroom lectures and computer materials- Tegrity allows web streaming, downloading, or podcasting of recorded sessions- Tegrity gives faculty control of recording, editing, and publishing of sessions (, )
