The Office of Publications

Click here for the school's Print Publication Visual Standards Guide.

The Office of Publications produces printed materials for the law school, everything from the viewbook to meeting invitations, from brochures to newsletters, and beyond.  We will work with you to determine the most effective format for your purpose, edit your text, and insure timely delivery of your printed materials for distribution either by the post office or internally.

The information we need from you could include: the kind of publication you plan; how much text you already have; if photos or artwork are to be included; who the intended audience is; if it is a new project or a repeat; and what your anticipated deadline.

We want to know about your project as soon as possible.  We work on many projects simultaneously, so the sooner we know something is pending, the sooner we can incorporate it into our planning, increasing the likelihood of being able to accommodate your requirements and deadlines.

Listed below are typical production timelines for a variety of publications. Please bear in mind that at certain times of the year, the volume of publications being produced is greater than at other times, such as during the summer, when the Dean’s Report and the bulk of the law school’s admission materials are being handled. The volume then could result in greater production timelines than listed below.

If you have a project for production, please contact:

Assistant Dean John M. McNamara

Ext. 393

6mcnamar@jmls.edu

Assistant Dean McNamara will assign it to an editor, who will coordinate its design and printing either with Bruce Swart (ext. 586), Cathy Morris Ext. 597), or another freelance designer.
