ITS Resources Available for Students 

The John Marshall Law School offers students many computer resources on the campus.  We provide the latest computers and software for use in the school's computer labs. 

In addition, the campus has extensive wireless internet access (more details on Page 3) to connect your laptop to our network.

Computer Labs
Our computer labs are located throughout our campus for student use.  The detailed list of lab locations can be found here:  Computer Labs

Computer labs located in the Library are only available during library hours.  The Library is open 7 days a week:  Monday-Thursday (8AM-11PM); Friday (8AM-8PM); Saturday (9AM-8PM); Sunday (9AM-10PM).

Our lab computers are Dell Optiplex PCs, with 17" flat screen monitors

  • Intel Core 2 Duo processor (2GHz+ speed)
  • 2 GB DDR2 memory
  • CD-RW/DVD-ROM units with DVD reading software
  • Multiple USB prorts (including 2 upfront), especially good for flash drives!
  • Microsoft Office 2007
  • Adobe Reader 8.1
  • Cyberlink PowerDVD DX Reader software
  • Internet Explorer 7

Network File Storage
Network file storage is available when using lab computers on the John Marshall Law School campus.  The benefits are as follows:

  • Over 25MB of storage for files, document, pictures, etc..
  • Secure, password protected storage available only to the student who is logged in
  • Storage is backed up constantly to secure John Marshall servers

Networked Student Printing
Students can quickly and easily access printing throughout the John Marshall Law School.  Printing credits are given to all incoming students on their ID cards.

  • Incoming JD students are given $180 worth of printing credits; LLM students: $48 of printing credits
    •  Printing costs15 cents/page
  • Students can add more printing credit at the vending machine on the 6th floor of the library
  • Printers are located near every computer lab
  • Students using laptops both PC and Apple can print wirelessly
  • Printers are located on the 10th floor of the Library, the 6th floor (Room 621), 2nd floor (next to the Bookstore), and the 11th floor (Room 1100)
