He presented Dec. 8 at the mid-winter meeting of the Illinois State Bar Association on the topic "How Did We Get Here?" an examination of the foundational, societal, economic and historical reasons why a greater number of minority juveniles are involved in the criminal justice system. His presentation was part of a special program on "Kids in a Jam: Why Are African-Americans and Latinos Over-Represented in the Juvenile Justice System and What Can Lawyers Do About It?"
