Personal items such as combs, toothbrushes, cosmetics, lotions, soaps, etc., are needed and will be donated to a domestic violence center. Items will be collected in the Sargis-Miner student lounge. Mary Lou Randor from the Doris Day Foundation in Washington, D. C. will speak to the Animal Law Society at 4:00 p.m. in room 1200A. Randor will present an overview of AniCare, a rehabilitation therapy for animal abusers. Refreshments will be served. October 12The Black Law Student Association will meet at 4:45 p.m. in room 216. ACE awards will be presented in the Sargis-Miner student lounge at 5:30 p.m. The Christian Legal Society will meet at 12:35 p.m. in room 1105. October 13The Public Interest Law Council will meet at 12:30 p.m. in room 413. Pizza will be served. October 14The Hispanic Law Student Association will meet at 5:00 p.m. in room 201. Delta Theta Phi is conducting a real estate seminar at 5:00 p.m. in room 1102. A real estate attorney will be present as well as an attorney from the ARDC. October 15The Board of Visitors of the law school is a distinguished group of business leaders and legal scholars. They visit the law school twice a year and submit a report to the dean regarding their findings. They would like to talk to students at 1:00 p.m. in the Sargis-Miner student lounge. Please try to be present. Refreshments will be served. October 16The Vocal Ensemble is a group of staff, faculty and students that are interested in forming a chorus to entertain at our annual holiday party. If you are interested, please see Miss Criss, room 212.

Edward Burke, of the 14th Ward; Justice Mary Ann McMorrow, chief justice of the Supreme Court of Illinois and Israel A. Desierto, president of the Illinois chapter of the Filipino Bar Association. The Filipino Bar Association and the law school co-hosted the second annual meeting of the Ethnic Bar Association, in which presidents of many of the bar associations throughout Illinois are sworn in as members. The program, "Recognising Differences, Encouraging Cooperation," celebrates the diversity of the legal community.Top Of PageLincoln Park Zoo's "Spooky Zoo"On Saturday, October 30, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the Lincoln Park Zoo's Halloween celebration will provide more than 30,000 children and adults with free trick-or-treating fun. Kids enjoy lots of goodies; costumed characters and other entertainers; and "The Four Corners of the Zoo" educational outposts where kids learn fun facts about animals. There will be a costume contest. Breakfast will be served at 10.30 a.m. at Park West at Armitage and Clark and participants will receive a free t-shirt.
