![]() Convocation Activities Cap Weeklong Celebration of Installation of New Dean
Dean Patricia Mell accepts the John Marshall medallion from Thomas Durkin (center), vice president and Alfred Gallo (right), president of the Board of Trustees of The John Marshall Law School. Dean Mell was officially installed during ceremonies Saturday, Oct. 18.
Dean Patricia Mell presents Dean Emeritus Robert Gilbert Johnston with a gavel as a symbol of his leadership as dean for eight years. Johnston was honored for his 35 years of dedicated service to the law school as a faculty member, associate dean and dean. He returns to the faculty in fall 2004.

The Salons at Borders are adult discussion groups sponsored by the Unitarian Church of Woodstock and Congregation Tikkun Olam, McHenry County's Jewish Reform congregation. Litigation Opportunities for ERISA attorneysThe ABA Section of Labor and Employment Law will be hosting an informal get-together to discuss career opportunities for ERISA litigators on November 12, 2003 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the ABA's Chicago offices at 750 Lake Shore Drive, 12th floor. ERISA attorneys practice in different environments and from different affiliations. They are management lawyers and union lawyers, tax lawyers, health care lawyers, and labor lawyers. They represent plaintiffs and defendants. They can be litigators or advisors or transaction lawyers. They Associate Regional Director of the DOL Employee Benefits Security Administration Chicago Office, Steve Haugen, will also be on hand to talk about careers in the government.
