Kunkle Addresses Gacy Prosecution
Nancy Thompson (left), assistant dean for Career Services, and Chicago Bar Association Young Lawyers Section Chair Mia Jiganti (right), a '94 John Marshall alumna and staff attorney and director of conflicts resolution for Piper Rudnick, welcome William J Kunkle (center), of Cahill Christian & Kunkle Ltd., to The John Marshall Law School. Kunkle was the first attorney in the "Trial Superstars Series" Lunch `n Learn, co-sponsored by the CBA and the Career Services Office at John Marshall. Kunkle, who acted as lead prosecutor in People v. John Gacy, recapped the widely publicized, five-week trial of the "Killer Clown," in which the jury found Gacy guilty of murdering 33 young men and boys. On March 13, 1980, Gacy was sentenced to the death penalty. Refreshments will be served. The Decalogue Society will feature a speaker at 11:45 a.m. in room 403. October 24Get up early so that you can attend the Student Bar Association Breakfast. It will be held from 8 to 10 am on 3 East. Donation, one dollar. The Student Bar Association and Phi Alpha Delta will be selling bakery goods in the student lounge. The Christian Legal Society will meet at 11:45 a.m. in room 402. October 25The Black Law Student Association is having a 70's Party. All are welcome. 6 to 10 p.m. on 3 East. October 26Every fall the ABA/LSD from all the law schools in America will be participating in "Work-A-Day.
