Counting five graduates among them, the Hoogasian clan personifies The John Marshall family; (from left) the Hon. Jack Hoogasian, '56, a 19th Judicial Circuit Court judge in Lake County; David Aho, '77, brother of Claudia Hoogasian; and son Greg D. Hoogasian, a second-year student. Seated are Claudia A. Hoogasian, '78, an Assistant State's Attorney in Lake County and wife of Judge Hoogasian; and family friend Gail Nelson. Not pictured is daughter Amy C. Hoogasian, '95, an attorney for the Illinois Pollution Control Board. (More photos inside.)
Taking a moment to reminisce with their former professor, Paul T. Wangerin (right), are alumni (from left) George G. Relias, '95, an attorney with Equiss Corporation in Chicago and Brant Neuneker, '84, an entrepreneur and leasing consultant in the telecommunications industry.
In the main reception room on 3East, Professor Anne M. Lousin, celebrates the classes of the 1960s with alumni couple, Marcia L. Mueller, '78, a partner with Hinshaw & Culbertson's Rockford office and her husband, Charles Prorok, '77, Winnebago County Deputy State's Attorney.
Getting ready to join the party in "Studio JM," the 1970s Reunion Center on the 12th Floor, are (from left) Joyce E. Tucker, '78, former commissioner of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission; William Bates, Jr., '89, executive vice president and general counsel, Seaway National Bank of Chicago; and his wife Jasmin Bates. Stepping back in time to the 1960s at the alumni reunion center on 3East are Melvina E. Newsom, LL.M. '96, (left), mayoral project manager for Chicago's Department of Planning and Development; and her fiance, Kendall Lloyd.
Professor Arthur J. Sabin, '59, (seated, left), and his wife, Sandra Sabin, (standing, left), enjoy the ambiance of "Studio JM" with Dr. Leonard C. Arnold, '65, and his wife, Dawn J. Arnold. Dr. Arnold was the first physician to receive a law degree from John Marshall. He was once called from class by Dean Noble T. Lee to treat his injured leg. That did not prevent the Dean from failing Arnold in his course that semester, the only course Arnold failed in his accomplished academic career.
Alumni Association Board President Carol Green-Fraley, JD '84, LL.M. '94, and her husband, Joseph E. Fraley, take a moment from the dessert buffet in the student lounge on the second floor. The Fraleys celebrated their first wedding anniversary as well as the All-School Reunion that evening.
Stopping by the Baim Courtroom to view the mock trials were Alfred E. Gallo, '49, John Marshall Board of Trustees member, and his wife, Gina Gallo.
They met at John Marshall, graduated in 1986 and became partners in law and marriage. Steven E.
