Innovative Strategies for Executive Benefits Outlined at The John Marshall Law SchoolThe benefits and drawbacks of legislative changes affecting executive compensation benefits will be discussed during a 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. seminar April 22 at The John Marshall Law School, 315 S. Plymouth Ct. This program is designed for persons familiar with a variety of compensation packages. Executive compensation plans have grown the last 10 years, but the optimal executive compensation package of non-qualified and qualified benefits has continued to shift in response to Congress' limitations on deferrals under qualified plans. The seminar will address planning opportunities now afforded by the revised capital gains rates for employers who wish to use stock as a means of compensating executives. Strategies to maximize defer rals under qualified plans for owners and executives also will be discussed. Steven R. Lifson, a partner with McBride Baker & Coles, will discuss "ESOPs for S Corporations;" Martin J. Campanella of McBride Baker & Coles will discuss "TRA `97 and Executive Compensation;" and Lee T.
