Donate Blood, Save Lives

A blood drive will be taking place on Tuesday, February 24 in the student lounge from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please make every effort to donate. Yes, you will get a snack afterwards.

American Trial Lawyers Association

ATLA Student Chapter inaugural meeting will be held on Thursday, February 26 at 5:00 p.m. in room 530. Mr. Keith Hebeisen, the Vice Chair of the ATLA Illinois state delegation, will be the featured speaker. Pizza and beverages will be served.

Dance Fever

Celebrate at the Barrister's Ball winter gala with your honey or your pals. You don't need a date. The ball is being held at the Chicago Athletic Club on Michigan Avenue. Music, dancing, food, and an open bar are part of the highlights. Tickets will be $25 if bought in advance and $35 if purchased at the door.

Do you want to represent your school to prospective students? Student ambassadors are needed to give school tours. Show your school pride while honing your oratory skills. See Michael States in the Admission's Office for more information.

Save 10 Bucks. Buy Barrister Ball Tickets Early.

This week is your last chance to buy discounted tickets. Tickets will be on sale in the lounge every day. Just walk up to the table, plop down your cash, and walk off with your ticket to a great evening of fun, food, dancing, and drinks. The Barrister's Ball is on Saturday, February 28th from 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. at the Chicago Athletic Association. You can also buy your tickets at the SBA office or Miss Criss's office. Otherwise, the tickets are on sale at the door for $35.

Outlining Lecture

Attention first year students. Exams may seem far away, but now is the time to start preparing. In order to help you prepare, Professor Morrissey is hosting an outlining lecture on Saturday, February 28 at 1:30 p.m. in room 409. Professor Morrissey will explain how to prepare an outline and answer any questions you have about preparation for finals.


Journal of Computer and Information Law

The Journal of Computer and Information Law is pleased to announce the publication of three more student articles from two prior candidacy classes. Student comments by Patrick Waltz, James Dobeus, and Peter Drever will appear in Issue 3 of the Journal's XVI Volume.

The student comments cover an intriguing variety of topics guaranteed to make this issue great reading! Pat's article focuses on the right to privacy in relation to on-site fingerprinting in the banking industry. Jim's article discusses the rating of Internet content and the spectrum of government regulation. Pete's article examines how public schools can implement software filters and avoid First Amendment liability. The Journal congratulates these student authors.
