Judge Jesse G. Reyes Swears in Executive Committee of Mexican Civic Society

Judge Jesse G. Reyes, President of The John Marshall Law School Alumni Association, and Illinois Appellate Court Justice David Cerda jointly presided over the induction of the 1998/1999 Executive Committee of the Mexican Civic Society of Illinois. The ceremony took place on Thursday, February 5, 1998 at 6:00 p.m. at the Como Inn Restaurant, 546 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, Illinois. The Honorable Leonardo French, Consul of Mexico was the Guest Speaker. The Mexican Civic Society is a non-for-profit organization which annually sponsors the City's Downtown Mexican Independence Day Parade and other Independence Day related events. Through its efforts the society has also been instrumental in raising thousands of dollars in scholarship funds for needy and deserving Hispanic students. The Society was founded in 1969.
