International Study Exchange Programs
The John Marshall Law School has several programs in which students in good academic standing can study abroad for a semester and earn academic credit toward their John Marshall degree. Presently students can study in the Czech Republic at either the Metropolitan University of Prague in Prague or at the Faculty of Law at Masaryk University in Brno, or in Switzerland at the University of Lucerne. An additional relationship exists with the University of Cagliari in Italy.

Field Trips Abroad

The John Marshall Law School also offers several courses that are taught at the law school as part of our regular curriculum, but include a field trip abroad. Students enrolled at The John Marshall Law School take a prescribed number of classes at John Marshall and spend a period of time (generally two weeks) in another country where they take classes and meet with local professors, attorneys, judges, and officials.
These courses include trips to the Czech Republic (Prague and Brno), Ireland, Scotland, Spain (Barcelona), and South Africa. The classes for the Czech program and the Barcelona program focus on European Union law as well as on the civil law system, the Ireland and Scotland programs focus on litigation and alternative dispute resolution issues respectively, and the South Africa program focuses on human rights.
