The John Marshall Law School Foundation
Veterans Legal Support Center & Clinic: Challenge Grant
We have received exciting news! A Chicago-based foundation has offered the Veterans Legal Support Center & Clinic a matching gift opportunity! All donations received by October 10, 2012 will count towards the match. This money will provide operating support of the VLSC which will occupy the first floor of 19 W. Jackson and be accessible from the street.
By relocating the Veterans Legal Support Center & Clinic to 19 W. Jackson, we are positioning it to be of service to the Midwest’s veterans, especially those who will be returning from the Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom campaigns. These are your colleagues who, according to a newly released study, will be plagued with traumatic brain injury and post-traumatic stress disorder. It is estimated that more than 400,000 veterans will be afflicted. As a country, we face a huge challenge in caring for these men and women.
The hard work that has been done to get this challenge grant needs to be met by even harder work, securing the match. By making your gift, you will be making a direct impact on the lives of the men and women who have bravely served to ensure our freedoms.
As the final weeks of summer wind down, consider the need that we have embraced. Please help us to meet our goal. Help us serve your brothers and sisters — those who have served.
