The Donald Hubert Endowed Memorial Scholarship for Legal Diversity

The Donald Hubert Endowed Memorial Scholarship for Legal Diversity is an important initiative established in memory of Donald Hubert, the much admired attorney and civic leader, who died in 2006 at age 58. Don Hubert’s life’s work reflects the law school’s tradition and mission of access and opportunity.

An African-American from the South Side of Chicago, Hubert became a successful litigator and served as president of the Chicago Bar Association in 1996. As a law school at the forefront of eliminating discrimination as an obstacle to a legal education, establishing the Donald Hubert Endowed Memorial Scholarship for Legal Diversity will help ensure that John Marshall’s mission and traditions continue. The scholarship will benefit John Marshall students seeking to make a positive impact in legal diversity.
