The John Marshall Law School is fortunate to have a strong financial endowment, which sustains the institution. Strong as this endowment is, however, it must be perpetually grown and nurtured to ensure that the law school's potential for great achievement is never limited by a lack of resources.

Establishing a Named Endowment

Gifts to the endowment are critical because they provide the financial security of permanent funding that provides:

   Student support
     -academic and need-based scholarships, bar exam preparation

   Faculty support
     -faculty recruitment and development, endowed chairs, research
     and travel grants

   Program support
     -honors programs, clinics, externships, moot court and trial
      advocacy programs, student life activities

   Facilities and technology support
     -library, computer services, upgraded classrooms,
      capital improvements

Memorials and Gifts in Tribute

A memorial gift to The John Marshall law School is a thoughtful way to honor the memory of a friend, colleague or loved one, to express sympathy or to celebrate a birthday, anniversary or other special occasion. When you make a gift in tribute, a personalized card in acknowledgement is sent to the individual or family being honored. Gifts made in tribute are fully tax deductible.

Graduating Class Gift

Each graduating class has the opportunity to make a meaningful donation as a Class Gift to The John Marshall Law School. Graduates are asked to give an amount equal to their graduation year. For example, $20.09 to represent 2009. Class members vote to designate what the "class gift" will support, such as the General Scholarship Fund.

Each donor to the Class Gift is recognized in The Annual Report of the Dean. This publication is sent to thousands of prominent and influential John marshall alumni and friends; having your name on this list is a great way to garner recognition as a recent graduate while at the same time contributing to the success of the school.
