COLLEGIATE DIVERSITY RECRUITING PROGRAMS:

Summer 2009 Visit to The University of Texas Pan-American, Edinburg, Texas.  The University of Texas Pan-American hosted a mock trial workshop and intra-school competition conducted by John Marshall Law School to expand the pipeline of traditionally under represented students applying for and enrolling in law school.

The John Marshall Law School Pre-Law Workshop.  On Friday, August 7, 2009 The John Marshall Law School hosted its first Pre-Law Workshop.  The Pre-Law Workshop was a free program for college students from historically under-represented groups who are interested in pursuing a law career. The program provided participants with skills and assistance that will strengthen their preparation for law school, as well as support diversity in the legal profession.  The program brought together students from diverse backgrounds and provided them with the training necessary to successfully prepare and navigate the road to law school. Students were informed about the law school application process, the Law School Admission Test, had an introduction to the first year of law school, and the opportunity to sit in an actual Accelerated Trial Advocacy Law School Class. The John Marshall Pre-Law Program sought to dispel any apprehensions about applying and gaining admission to law school.
