Rules and Instructions
Who can participate? Participation is open to any currently enrolled undergraduate students in good standing. Individuals need not apply as part of their school team.
To maximize the probability of diversity on each team, each student will be assigned to a three-member team on the first morning of the competition.
Each member must be prepared for the following roles:
-
Opening Statement and Cross Examination
-
Witness (for Plaintiff and Defense); and
-
Direct Examination and Closing Arguments
Registration Deadline is April 1, 2011. Space is limited and typically fills quickly so apply early!
Coaches/Advisors
If applicable, all schools must be accompanied by at least one advisor or coach. If a school's advisor or coach cannot assist with the preparations prior to the competition, the participating school must find a replacement coach or be automatically disqualified, thereby forfeiting the $35 registration fee. If you are registering as an individual competitor, you may register without a coach, but you are responsible for finding and preparing for the competition on your own.
Questions?
All contact regarding registration, applicant's information, and general competition questions must be made by each school's coach/faculty advisor.
