Rachel Dawson was licensed to practice law in 2000. As a legal professional, Mrs. Dawson served as an assistant appellate defender for the First District of Illinois for two years. She then went on to serve as the Assistant Director of the Academic Support Program at DePaul University College of Law, where she prepared students to succeed in law school and on the bar exam, as well as taught legal writing courses. Mrs. Dawson joined the Career Services Office at The John Marshall Law School in November 2005. In her current position as associate director her responsibilities include counseling students and alumni on career planning, job search strategies and interview skills. Mrs. Dawson also serves as the Government and Public Service counselor.
