Joseph Butler attended The John Marshall Law School, where he was the first student in The John Marshall Law School Fair Housing Legal Clinic. Having learned the value of clinical legal education, he now supervises students at the Clinic. Under his supervision, John Marshall students have successfully litigated fair housing cases in federal court, state court, and before various administrative agencies. He has lectured nationally on fair housing law and has conducted trainings for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Professor Butler began teaching at John Marshall in 1995.
