Eileen Halpin serves as director of Academic Counseling. She works individually with students in an effort to help them develop and refine their analytical strategies, exam preparation and critical thinking skills. She also teaches the Essay Exam Practicum course. Since she joined the staff in 2001, Halpin has also taught the Prisoner Rights in America and Criminal Justice courses, and Writing for the Practice of Law.
Halpin is a 1999 graduate of John Marshall. She served as associate director of the Criminal Justice Clinic from 2001 through July 2005 under its director, Dean Ralph Ruebner. From 2005 through 2007, Halpin was associate director of John Marshall's Academic Achievement Center.
