In law school, Colin Miller was an editor of the William and Mary Law Review and senior articles editor of the William and Mary Bill of Rights Journal. In addition, he taught classes on the use of courtroom technology for mock trials, and was a teacher/mentor instructing students in legal research, writing, and substantive law in preparation for mock trials.

Professor Miller came to John Marshall after serving as an appellate court attorney, reviewing cases and preparing reports for members of the New York Supreme Court-Appellate Division. He has written numerous law review articles on various legal topics. His specialty areas are civil and criminal procedure and evidence.

Professor Miller joined the faculty in 2007. He teaches Evidence and Civil Procedure I.
