Solo Practitioner Portal
|
The John Marshall Law School has a strong tradition of producing solo practitioners to serve the community and individuals. Appreciating the importance of these practices the Alumni Relations and Career Services Offices have developed this resource page to enable John Marshall alumni with solo or small practices to work together to develop their practices.
Further, with the economy causing large law firms to downsize, it is likely that most law school graduates and practicing lawyers will spend some time as solo practitioners or in small law firms. Thus, it is important that law students and lawyers, learn to manage such practices. This page will work as an instrument to allow John Marshall alumni who are solo practitioners to develop a community to support each other's practices.
Our resource page will provide links to materials that will supply valuable information about solo practice management, developments and trends. Attorneys will be able to join our solo practitioner directory (make link here) where they can identify other practitioners for referral and mentoring. The blog will allow for the exchange of ideas, materials and other possible services such as office shares. The Alumni Relations and Career Services Offices will also provide programming addressing pertinent issues facing solo practitioners. Practitioners can also work with the Career Services Office to recruit student workers .
