Evening Student Career Information

Overview of Services

Evening law students at John Marshall are used to extraordinary challenges. Most work full-time and balance multiple family, personal and community activities as well. The competing demands on evening students sometimes seem to require more than a 24-hour day. Yet preparing for a legal career requires that evening students also learn about the legal employment market, assess and define their career goals and acquire marketable legal experience. While graduation may seem a distant four years away, investing time in your career planning early in your academic career will pay substantial dividends later in helping you find a satisfying legal career.

The CSO recognizes that evening students face tight time constraints and have unique questions and concerns about their career plans. We provide services to assist evening students with their individual career questions and to accommodate their busy schedules. We offer a variety of programs, workshops and services specifically tailored to evening students.
