Degree candidates selected to participate in this program work with the attorneys at the IRS within the Employee Plans Office of Rulings and Agreement for the Tax Exempt/Government Entities Organization (TE/GE). The educational objectives of the course include practical experience in employee benefits law and the development of research, writing, and drafting skills. They also include familiarizing the student with the legal and policy implications of the TE/GE's Office of Rulings and Agreement.

Students selected for this externship will be eligible for a $5,000 scholarship for travel and housing expenses.
