OPPORTUNITIES at BAR ASSOCIATIONS and ORGANIZATIONS
for Graduate TAX LAW students 

CHICAGO BAR ASSOCIATION (CBA)
at 321 S. Plymouth Court, Chicago, IL

The CBA offers a variety of monthly meetings that are not only information but provide wonderful networking opportunities. You do not need to be a member of the CBA to attend these free lunchtime meetings; however, with out a membership, you will not received meeting announcements indicating the name of the guest speaker and the topic of discussion. All meetings start at 12:15 p.m. at the CBA Building and the room locations are posted in the lobby. Feel free to bring your own lunch, or purchase lunch in their service. Both Professors Kennedy and Kozak are active in the CBA, so please direct any questions to either of them. All meetings start in September and conclude in May.

Chicago Bar Association

  • CBA Federal Taxation Committee
    • Full Committee (meets on the 4th Tuesday of the month)
    • Estate and Gift Tax Sub-Committee (1st Thursday of the month)
    • Partnerships Taxation Sub-Committee (3rd Tuesday of the month)
    • Corporations Taxation Sub-Committee (2nd Wednesday of the month)
    • Exempt Organizations Sub-Committee (2nd Thursday of the month) every other month
  • CBA Real Estate Taxation Committee (meets on the 1st Thursday of the month)
  • CBA State and Local Tax Committee (meets on the 2nd Monday of the month)
  • CBA Probate Practice Committee (meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the month)
  • CBA Young Lawyers Section Estate Planning committee (the 2nd Tuesday of the month)
  • CBA Young Lawyers Section Tax Law Committee (the 3rd Thursday of the month)
