CALL FOR PAPERS
FROM ACADEMICS AND PRACTITIONERS

6th Annual John Marshall Law Review Employee Benefits Symposium edition

The Center for Tax Law & Employee Benefits and The John Marshall Law Review will be hosting the 6th Annual Employee Benefits Symposium  issue in April 2008 (exact date TBA).

Each year, The John Marshall Law Review devotes an entire spring edition to employee benefits legal issues. The overall theme of this year’s edition will focus on the problems the baby boomer generation will confront as it faces retirement. Papers published in the spring 2008 edition will be presented by the authors on Friday, April 4, 2008, at an Employee Benefits Symposium, at the law school, in Chicago, IL. This unique symposium will bring together people from the benefits community to discuss and synergize the problems facing the baby boomer generation.

Through this special edition, The John Marshall Law Review hopes to provide judges, practitioners, and scholars with a valuable resource of information concerning significant trends and developments in ERISA, the federal law regulating employee benefits law, and the federal tax code, as well as recent cases and controversies. We would like to thank the law professor and practitioner community for the strong support they have given to the law review during the past five years.

The 2008 Employee Benefits Symposium issue is scheduled for publication in the late spring of 2008. Accordingly, the Law Review will be pleased to accept any submissions by November 1, 2007. If you are interested in submitting an article for inclusion in the spring 2008 issue, please contact Professor Kathryn Kennedy at 7kennedy@jmls.edu or Daniel Saeedi (Executive Lead Articles Editor of The John Marshall Law Review) at 5saeedi@stu.jmls.edu.
