Intellectual Property Law LLM Curriculum
The John Marshall Law School offers an advanced degree, master of laws in intellectual property, for law school graduates who want to obtain specialized and advanced education in all aspects of intellectual property law.
A comprehensive patent program is offered for students with a science or engineering background. In addition, copyright law, trademark law, unfair competition, advertising, entertainment, contemporary technology and other aspects of intellectual property law are offered in the LLM program.
The LLM program is taught by our adjunct faculty of over 40 experienced practitioners who are currently working in their fields of expertise, plus seven members of the John Marshall full-time faculty. Courses offering independent study, dissertations and clinical internships are also available.
Master classes are offered each semester on advanced topics in intellectual property law, which are taught by masters in the field.
