The John Marshall Law School-University of Lucerne Exchange Program

On behalf of The John Marshall Law School, the Center for International Business and Trade Law initiated discussions with the Law Faculty of the University of Lucerne in 2005.  The discussions arose out of the sister city relationship between Chicago and Lucerne that originated in 1998.  In 2006, John Marshall and the University of Lucerne signed an exchange agreement to promote the exchange of students and faculty. 

In the spring of 2007, Dr. Daniel Girsberger of the University of Lucerne visited John Marshall to teach a course on International Commercial Arbitration.  John Marshall welcomed four students from Lucerne during the 2007-2008 academic year.  John Marshall sent the first student to the University of Lucerne in the spring of 2008. 

The deadline for the receipt of all materials to be considered for the exchange program with Lucerne is Wednesday, October 1, 2008 for spring 2009 applicants.
