IBT LLM Admissions Requirements
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Applicants for the LLM Program are required to meet on of the following criteria:
- Member of the bar of any state of territory of the United States, including the District of Columbia
- Graduate of a law school accreditred by the American Bar Association, but not a member of the bar
- JD student at The John Marshall Law School wishing to pursue a joint JD/LLM degree
- Member of a foreign bar or graduate of a foreign law school (LLB equivalent)
- Foreign applicants must submit a transcript evaluation certification and an acceptable score on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
All applicants must submit official transcripts, a personal statement and resume, along with a completed signed application form and an application fee. Foreign applicants must also submit the Foreign Application Supplement.
HOW TO APPLY
If you are interested in pursuing a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in International Business and Trade Law, we recommend you do the following:
- Complete and submit the application form and all supporting documentation to the Assistant Director of Graduate Admission and International Education Services no later than August 1 for consideration for the fall semester, May 1 for the summer semester and no later than December 1 for the spring semester.
