CENTER FOR ADVOCACY AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION: SPECIALIZED PROGRAMS

The John Marshall Law School emphasizes involvement in interscholastic competitions in a variety of areas including: trial and appellate advocacy, arbitration, negotiation, client counseling, mediation, and international commercial arbitration.

Students selected for teams are chosen based on a variety of skills including: oral and written ability, knowledge of a specialized topic, courtroom advocacy, evidentiary knowledge, professional demeanor, and the ability to anaylze information and react in professional situations. Students are coached by skilled individuals recruited from among the John Marshall Law School faculty, adjunct faculty, and alumni.

Although each student commits to a rigorous and demanding practice schedule, this hard work and dedication pays off as John Marshall student-competitors are consistently recognized in regional, national, and international competitions.
